After a first home tour in many years it was time to head back in search of some sun & sand in May 2020, unfortunately CoVid19 put paid to that so we've postponed it for a year. The Ibiza Beach Rugby Tournament will be hosting 60 eager tourists in May 2021 for what will no doubt be a very wild weekend!

The European Finals in Newcastle was the destination for Tour 2019 and a fantastic time was had by all. Great rugby, cracking nightlife and a very understanding city centre hotel. The Toon did us proud

February 2019 saw me undertake a long -awaited trip to Myanmar, I was due to carry on to Bali but family bereavement had me heading home instead. I have to say that this blog by Indiana Jo was invaluable in Myanmar, especially when planning your way around the temples of Bagan

The Road From Mandalay 2019

In July and early August another one was ticked off the bucket list with a visit to San Francisco for RWC Sevens 2018 before a five-day meander down the iconic Pacific Coast Highway to beautiful Encinitas in San Diego County

After a sabbatical in 2017, an emptiness was widely felt amongst the players which could only be filled with experiencing Tour once more, therefore a return to Malta was required.

A hardy group of 43 signed up with the main party of 35 flying from Bournemouth early on the morning of Thursday 17th May, returning on the Sunday afternoon, with a further 8 going from Gatwick.

We stayed at the Hotel Santa Maria in St Paul's and played in the Malta International Senior Tournament

Continuing my personal journey around South-East Asia happened in February/March 2018. The original intention to visit Myanmar was postponed due to the morally unacceptable situation there with the Rohingya people so, with equal excitement, the Himalayas of Nepal was tacked on to the beaches and culture of Sri Lanka and a flying visit to Malaysia

Without doubt, Iceland is a country like no other and, as such, had long been an ambition of mine to visit. So it was that, after an excited wait until November, Judy, Paul, Biddy and I delved into what the South-East coastal road had to offer. What we found was way beyond any expectations and a week of smiles, laughter and unbelievable experiences ensued while the famously expensive country ensured our wallets took an almighty hit. It was worth every penny!

Nothing to do with rugby or travel but I love music and these are worth a listen
